CSA Facilitator’s Learning and Development Pathway and Facilitator Certification Program is tailored to empower facilitators as they embark on a journey of professional growth.

This comprehensive process, comprised of three stages, evaluates facilitators against a stringent set of competencies. Each certification stage acknowledges participants who demonstrate excellence in quality, integrity, and talent, —qualities on which both facilitators and clients can rely.

Designed for both in-house and external process facilitators, this learning program offers assurance to clients regarding the qualifications of their facilitators. Typical participants include consultants, trainers, project managers, coaches, and meeting leaders, whether operating independently or within an organization.

1. CSA Associate Certified Facilitator

The Associate Certified Facilitator designation is ideal for individuals who are in the early stages of their facilitation careers and have gained some practical experience using facilitation tools, techniques, and/or methods.

For novice facilitators, the primary challenge lies in designing effective processes using appropriate tools. This certification program is specifically tailored to enhance participants' skills in workshop design and tool selection.

Candidates will have the opportunity to design their own case and will receive practical guidance to ensure their facilitation success.

Requirement

To qualify, you should have completed CSA Impactful Facilitator training and facilitated a minimum of 3 workshops. The more experience you have, the stronger your candidacy.

Certification process

1. Submit your application.
2. Receive a workshop facilitation case assignment.
3. Develop and submit your facilitation plan.
4. Present your plan to the assessor and fellow participants during the certification event.
5. Engage in self-evaluation and receive feedback from both participants and the assessor.

2. CSA Certified Facilitator

The CSA Certified Facilitator credential is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated their ability to successfully plan and facilitate workshops. They must also have completed the rigorous Grape People certification process and undergone a comprehensive peer review of their experience, knowledge, skills, and facilitation practice.

Requirement

Eligible applicants must demonstrate sufficient experience and skills as process facilitators to exhibit proficiency in the 8 key facilitator competencies. Candidates should have completed CSA Impactful Facilitator I and II trainings and facilitated a minimum of 10 workshops to qualify. Greater experience enhances candidacy.

Process

1. Submit application
2. Two assessors are assigned.
3. You will be assigned a small facilitation team and a workshop case.
4. Submit your facilitation plan with your team.
5. Assessment of your plan and feedback.
6. Fine-tuning the plan with your team of facilitators.
7. Facilitation demo online or in person.
8. Self-evaluation, and feedback from both demo participants and assessors.

3. CSA Professional Certified Facilitator

CSA Professional Certified Facilitator represents a senior skill level in the field of facilitation. It is a credential awarded to members who demonstrate the ability to clarify complicated client cases and proficiently plan and facilitate complex organizational development workshops encompassing conflict resolution, strategy formulation, team development, change management, and innovation initiatives.

Requirement

Candidates should have completed CSA Impactful Facilitator I and II trainings, along with two additional advanced two-day facilitation courses, and have facilitated a minimum of 30 workshops to qualify. Greater experience further strengthens candidacy.

Process

1. Submit application
2. Two assessors assigned
3. You will be assigned a facilitation partner and a challenging case related to organisational development (typically facilitation related to strategy, change, team development or innovation)
4. One assessor will role play as your client
5. You will submit your facilitation plan with your partner
6. Fine tuning the plan with a group of facilitators
7. Facilitation demo online or in person
8. Self-evaluation, and feedback from both demo participants and assessors

The Certified Facilitator program has received accreditation from Education Finland, a national initiative promoting Finnish educational expertise and global learning solutions.

The Facilitator certification program's quality has been thoroughly assessed by the Finnish Education Evaluation Center.
